In memory of
Fr. C.V. Mathews & Sucy Mathews
Shaino Foundation has been set up in memory of Fr. C.V. Mathews and Sucy Mathews who worked relentlessly to support the underprivileged and needy. The guiding principle of this Foundation is to strive to make a positive difference in people's lives.
A former air force officer turned priest, Fr. C.V. Mathews spent more than 15 years in Africa as both teacher and priest before returning to India. Known for his oratory and his ability to connect across generations, he remained an ardent learner well into his 60s, pursuing further degrees in Theology.
Sucy Mathews, a Delhi University gold medallist in Nutrition, was an extraordinary teacher — of biology and of life lessons. She stood at the forefront in times of need and was a guiding force for many.
Together they taught their family to give without expecting, love without inhibitions, and never to give up. Shaino Foundation carries forward that legacy.

Working alongside the headmistress and staff to make a tangible difference in students' lives.
- Provided colourful sports uniforms so every child can take part
- Stationery and office supplies for the new 2025 academic year
- Funded the dance teacher's salary so children could compete with confidence

Partnered with ROV for initiatives at Nirbhaya Home — a platform for self-expression and empowerment.
- Kuppayam programme: hands-on fashion design, crop-top and embroidery workshops for 13 girls
- Movie outing and lunch for 28 residents, sisters and staff of Nirbhaya Home

Vaishnavi Welfare & Charitable Trust
Delivering healthcare, nutritional literacy and intergenerational resilience to underserved regions.
- Jeevani Programme: 1,000+ children received focused nutritional care in 2024
- Shakthi Programme: 600+ pregnant women supported with nutritional and herbal interventions
- Scaling Shakthi to 2,400 women across 8 PHCs in Tamil Nadu's most underserved regions in 2025

St. Mary's Cathedral Music Competition
Sponsoring the annual inter-church music competition hosted by Thumpamon Cathedral — across all Malankara churches — with an ever-rolling first-prize trophy in memory of Appa and Amma.
